Asbury Park Boardwalk
Free (beach badge required Memorial Day–Labor Day; kids under 12 free)
Beaches & Boardwalks
A mile-long oceanfront boardwalk that's become one of the Jersey Shore's most beloved free attractions. Walk past restored 1920s arcades, public art installations, the iconic Convention Hall and Carousel House, beachfront bars, and live street musicians on weekends. From Memorial Day through Labor Day a beach badge is required to set foot on the sand, but the boardwalk itself is free year-round and at its best off-season when crowds are gone.
Address: 1300 Ocean Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712
Tip: Visit in the off-season — September through May the entire boardwalk is yours and the beach is free to walk. Free First Friday events at Press Plaza in summer feature live music and family activities.

The exterior architecture alone is worth the visit, and free events and craft fairs happen inside throughout the year.
