Boothbay Harbor Footbridge
Free
History & Architecture
Built in 1901 and among the longest wooden footbridges in the United States, this roughly 1,000-foot pedestrian span crosses the inner harbor, complete with a little “Bridge House” perched mid-way. It’s the best free vantage point in town for boats, sunsets, and reflections on still water.
Address: Commercial Street to Bridge Street, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538
Tip: You’ll likely cross it several times — it’s the shortcut between the two sides of downtown. Come at sunset when the bridge lights twinkle. Free to walk anytime; park in the municipal lot and explore on foot.
