Homeschool Discounts in Vermont

Big-ticket Vermont museums and attractions with homeschool discount days — typically 30–50% off for kids, sometimes free.

Updated June 2026 · 6 confirmed programs · 0 call-to-confirm

Vermont's marquee science and history museums fold homeschoolers into their best rates. In Burlington, the ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain books field trips at $4 a student — roughly a fifth of the gate — and the Shelburne Museum, one of the country's great Americana collections, charges homeschool visitors just $5 a student against a $27.50 adult ticket. In Montpelier, the Vermont History Museum waives admission for homeschool groups entirely.

Out in the countryside, hands-on programs do the rest. The Vermont Institute of Natural Science in Quechee runs $13.50 field trips around its live raptors and forest canopy walk; the Fairbanks Museum in St. Johnsbury holds $10 Homeschool Tuesdays with planetarium time; and Woodstock's Billings Farm runs morning Discovery Days that turn a Rockefeller-era dairy into a living classroom for curiosity-led learners.
